This lot pertains to the repair and restoration of damaged optical fiber cable links at three (03) locations namely Gulshan Exg. to Uttara Exg. Uttara Exg. to Tongi Exg. and Gulshan to Baridhara Exg. Links. The works comprise repair and restoration of approximately 250 (two hundred fifty) meters of damaged 48-core underground optical fiber cable along the Gulshan Exg. to Uttara Exg link 450 (four hundred fifty) meters of damaged 48-core overhead optical fiber cable along the Uttara Exg. to Tongi Exg link and 70 (seventy) meters of damaged 24-core overhead optical fiber cable along the Gulshan to Baridhara Exg. link. The damages were caused by construction activities and intentional cable cutting by local people. The scope of work includes fault localization using OTDR (where applicable) excavation replacement or re-laying of damaged cable where necessary splicing jointing installation of joint closures and other necessary accessories and completion of testing and commissioning to restore the optical fiber links to a satisfactory working condition.
